[Sculptor Jong-geol Choi’s Works on TrollyGo]
The sculptor Jong-geol Choi, born in 1952, is an artist specializing in sculpture and installation art. He earned both his bachelor's and master's degrees in sculpture from Hongik University and has held approximately seven solo exhibitions. As a veteran artist, he has participated in numerous group exhibitions and produced over 300 works.
Choi values simplicity, which is reflected in the concise and straightforward nature of his art. A notable feature of his work is his frequent use of stone. He is captivated by the beauty of the fine, rich textures found within the hard surface of stone. His creative process—delving directly into the core of the subject and fully immersing himself in his work—differentiates him from other artists.
< List of Jong-geol Choi’s works on TrollyGo >
Currently, nine of Jong-geol Choi's marble works are listed on TrollyGo. Beginning with Remains – Impression (2011), you can explore his ‘Remains series’ which spans works up to 2020, and Reduction (2021) is also available for trade on TrollyGo. His works are accessible through the art agency Lazy Blender, a registered vendor on TrollyGo.
Choi’s sculptures are simple yet dynamic. Drawing inspiration from the natural world he encountered while working immersed in nature, his pieces reflect the joy of life in their simplicity. He is especially attuned to the diverse physical properties of stone, believing that the natural perfection of a stone's color, texture, and pattern contributes significantly to the work itself. As his pieces reflect his values and worldview, interest in his artistic journey continues to grow.

[Artist Jiana Kim’s Works on TrollyGo]
Artist Jiana Kim says she "paints with light through clay." She followed an elite path, completing both her bachelor's and master's degree in the United States, and then a doctorate at Seoul National University. Her strong desire to immerse herself in her work led her to fall in love with the allure of clay.
Fascinated by the endless creative possibilities of clay, Kim seeks to express this inspiration through her work. To her, clay is a medium that embodies her desire to paint with light. Her art, which expresses resilience, tension, and the wounds that endure through fragile pieces, is likely more enduring than any other works.
< List of Jiana Kim’s works on TrollyGo >
Five works from Jiana Kim’s ‘Inside Series’ are listed on TrollyGo. The Inside Series consists of canvas works created by baking extremely thin pieces of porcelain at high temperatures and then connecting each fragment to form a three-dimensional image. When light hits the surface of the artwork, some rays bounce off the fragments, while others pass through the sculpture along various paths. Each piece of pottery on the canvas has its own unique story, brought to life vibrantly by the light. Isn't this precisely what the artist intended with the Inside Series? We invite you to explore the artist’s powerful works on the TrollyGo site.
