B2B digital platform TrollyGo is accelerating its entry into the import and distribution business of premium hay, according to global trading company STX on December 11. Premium hay (forage-based fiber feed for livestock, including hay and straw), which directly affects productivity in the dairy and beef cattle industries, is emerging as a key factor in meeting the growing demand for livestock products.
To address supply instability and quality fluctuations caused by climate issues, TrollyGo has established a digital supply structure that directly connects leading hay producers in the United States, Australia, Spain, and other regions with domestic buyers. By simplifying distribution channels, TrollyGo is expected to reduce procurement costs and decrease supply chain risks.
STX plans to supply initial imports of major forage crops - such as Alfalfa and Timothy hay - to Seoul Dairy Cooperative, regional agricultural and livestock cooperatives, and leading livestock farms. While TrollyGo is expanding its scope to cover a wide range of agri-products, it is expected to reduce costs, improve productivity, and support the production of premium livestock products.
STX representative stated, “With the U.S. hay import quota set to be lifted next year, we will continue to support sourcing forage and farm commodities more efficiently through the TrollyGo platform.”
