Calcium silicon is a poly alloy which is rich in Si & Ca and the rest is trace elements such as Fe, Al, C & S. Calcium silicon is widely used in steelmaking, it is a good steelmaking deoxidizer, which can effectively treat the oxygen in the molten steel and reduce the oxides and impurities, improve the mechanical properties of steel and enhance the quality of steel.
High purity calcium silicon products are mainly produced in electrode furnaces. The electrode furnace is used to produce calcium silicon alloys with high purity, stable quality and low impurities. Calcium silicon with medium and low content is mainly produced in medium frequency electric furnaces. This reduces production costs and allows flexible control of calcium silicon production.
