Molybdenum cylinder is also called molybdenum ingots or molybdenum rod blanks. They are solid, round, straight, and cylindrical. Large diameter ones are usually called mo bars, small diameter ones are called mo rods, and thinner ones are called mo wires.

Product Material

We have a variety of material molybdenum cylinder to choose from, not only Mo1 pure molybdenum, and Mo2 pure molybdenum, but also TZM molybdenum alloy, MoLa alloy and other molybdenum alloy products.

Mo1 grade pure molybdenum, the mo element content we provide is over 99.95%. It has higher purity and greater density.

MO2 grade pure molybdenum, mo element content≥99.90%. It's mainly used in the steel making industry, usually be used as an additive to produce various types of steel, including stainless steel, alloy steel, etc

TZM molybdenum alloy, the TZM molybdenum alloy of we provide refers to Titanium-Zirconium-Molybdenum Alloy, in which the molybdenum content is 99.2-99.5%. The titanium content is 0.4~0.6% (wt), the zirconium content is 0.08~0.12% (wt), and the carbon content is 0. 02~ 0. 03% (wt).

TZM molybdenum alloy has better high temperature strength and higher recrystallization temperature. Under high temperature conditions above 1300°C, the strength of TZM is twice that of pure molybdenum.

MoLa alloy, it refers to molybdenum lanthanum alloy, also known as high-temperature molybdenum, with the brand name MoLa. Its main components are molybdenum (Mo) and lanthanum oxide( La2O3), of which the lanthanum oxide content typically ranging from 0.4% to 1.2%. Doping lanthanum into molybdenum powder greatly improves the high-temperature performance and creep resistance of molybdenum, thereby increasing the service life of the products.

Production Process

Molybdenum cylinder mainly adopts powder metallurgy process. Powder metallurgy process is the main production process of refractory metals, especially molybdenum and tungsten metal materials. It includes single pure molybdenum powder or molybdenum powder mixed with other powders, forming, pressing, sintering, forging, machining, etc.
